Diani Wins at Hambleden

April 27, 2015

On Friday 24th May Diani Western-Kaye competed in the SYMM International Horse Trials at Hambleden on both Speedilicious and Aingarth’s Bailey. Entering both horses in the BE100 class the day got off to a great start with Diani scoring a superb 24.5 in her dressage test on Speedy. Going into the cross country phase Speedy was lying sixth and a clear round secured this position in his section.

He also started well with an excellent dressage test and then going clear in the show jumping, however in very closely fought section another clear round was required over the cross country course and Diani duly delivered this. Victory in this section was confirmed when her nearest competitor failed to complete the cross country course in the allotted time. Diani said “It’s great to win on Bailey, both horse went really well especially over the demanding cross country course”. Diani’s win rounded off a great week for her, having earlier won two class on Bailey in the monthly affiliated dressage competiton held at Snowball Farm.

Diani will be competing both horse again at Chilham Castle on 3rd May before moving up to novice level with them at Aston-Le-Walls later in the month.
